Hinman College

Hinman College is a community filled with energy, tradition and spirit! We are home to the Public Service Learning Community, Dorm Wars, Hysteria and the Hinman College Council — the largest student government on campus. The five buildings in Hinman have four- and six-person suites. We're lucky to have Collegiate Professor, Jay Newberry, an associate professor of geography, as mentor to all of our Hinmanites.

The Hinman Success Center

The Hinman Success Center located in Nelson A. Rockefeller Collegiate Center (RC) was designed with your academic needs in mind. There are individual seating areas as well as group seating for studying and collaboration. All areas have built in charging stations and noise-reducing seating. There are also enclosed areas with whiteboards for group projects.

Cleveland Hall opens for first-year students

Cleveland Hall has been completely renovated with all new furniture, flooring, finishes and air conditioning! It is open for new first-year students only. Conveniently located near our brand new dining hall, residents can expect regular opportunities to connect with friends, staff and campus resources. Cleveland will also be supported by a graduate student who specializes in career planning/life skills and who will provide outreach and learning opportunities. Check out our .

Hinman's Collegiate Professor

Kristina Marty is a professor in the Department of Public Administration and Policy and is passionate about public service. She is a resource for students living in Hinman and collaborates with Residential Life staff to organize community-building events. Her research interests include the management of health and human service organizations, and university-based civic engagement efforts. More recently in her scholarship, she has explored leadership as well as local government’s adoption and implementation of environmental sustainability projects. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, cross country skiing, gardening, and crafting.

Fill out to request a space in Hinman College. We may not be able to fill every request due to staffing and room setup needs. With the exception of Hinman College professional/graduate staff and Hinman College recognized student groups, the room may not be reserved for standing meetings.
