This year, the Assistant Director of Parent and Family Engagement is leading an inaugural fundraiser taking place at the Oakdale Commons in Johnson City, NY on December 6, 2025. The proceeds of the event will go toward family and community engagement events for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Throughout the semester, you will be assigned roles and responsibilities to help build the event! Duties will include but are not limited to:
1) Attending meetings with Development Team leaders (in person and virtual)
2) Communicate with local businesses to solicit sponsorship and donations to support the Fundraiser in December.
4) Participate in community fundraising efforts such as "Spirit Nights at Dave and Busters"
3) Participate as a volunteer at the Fundraiser on December 6th (roles include: set up, registration, leading activities, engaging with attendees, clean up)
